Lydia, a New Hampshire native, moved to Pennsylvania to attend Messiah University where she graduated with both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minor in psychology. Lydia dedicated sixteen years to bedside nursing, working in intensive care units where she cared for patients from all walks of life. In the ICU, Lydia most enjoyed providing emotional and mental support to patients and their families navigating times of crisis. This passion for supporting mental and emotional well-being, combined with the shortage of mental health care providers across the U.S., led Lydia to pivot her career focus toward mental health care.
Lydia received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Spring Arbor University and became a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She believes that mental wellness is shaped by a complex interplay of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors, and that a holistic approach to care is essential.
As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Lydia is compassionate and works closely with her clients to identify treatment goals and create personalized care plans. She focuses on addressing lifestyle factors and integrating psychiatric medications when appropriate, all within a supportive and therapeutic environment. Lydia also collaborates with psychotherapists and primary care providers to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to managing her clients’ mental health and overall well-being.
In her free time Lydia enjoys spending time with her family, connecting with friends at coffee shops, and walking in nature. She is a lifelong learner, enjoying listening to podcasts whenever she is driving places and reading books when she is home.
