Christa Johnson, Ph.D.

New clients must first contact our office to schedule an appointment, but can use the portal to check availability of appointments.

Dr. Johnson is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate degree from West Virginia University. She completed her internship and two year post-doctoral fellowship at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City. During her post-doctoral fellowship, and subsequent tenure as a faculty member at OUHSC, Dr. Johnson specialized in the psychological treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing acute, chronic, and life-threatening medical diagnoses, grief and loss, physical trauma, and hospitalizations. She has extensive experience as a multidisciplinary team member in providing comprehensive care.

Dr. Johnson is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate through the problems, challenges, and significant life events that occur. Dr. Johnson specializes in child, adolescent, and family therapy, for a broad range of issues, including behavioral, school-related, adjustment and coping with medical diagnoses, child maltreatment, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Johnson also specializes in grief and bereavement therapy as well as parenting strategies.
