Scheduling and Messaging Portal: Existing clients can send secure, private messages to Dr. Barnabas, and can also schedule or cancel appointments by going to our CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS PORTAL. New clients must first contact our office to schedule an appointment, but can use the portal to check availability of appointments.
Dr. Barnabas is a licensed psychologist, a nationally certified school psychologist, and a licensed behavior specialist. He earned his doctorate from the Lehigh University combined Pediatric Psychology and School Psychology Leadership Training Grant focused on providing psychological services for children with emotional and behavioral disorders, chronological health and medical problems, as well as academic cognitive and motivational challenges.
Dr. Barnabas completed his clinical psychology internship with the Miami-based Institute for Children and Families (formerly Children’s Psychiatric Center) before completing his postdoctoral training providing Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Service (BHRS) child and adolescent therapy as well as Best Practice Evaluations at Access Services in the Lehigh Valley and at Philhaven BHRS in Dauphin and Lebanon counties.
He has over 15 years of experience involving behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems approaches to support children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Dr. Barnabas is bilingual (English-Spanish) and is passionate about walking alongside children, adolescents, and their families as they navigate and manage the challenges of life. Special interests and training include: working with autism, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, parent-child interaction and attachment, children with chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, school-based behavioral consultation and psycho-educational evaluations, learning disabilities, as well as academic stress management and skills development.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Barnabas relieves stress through exercise, CrossFit, and martial arts. Growing up in Colorado, he remains a Broncos fan and is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys participating in all activities that involve getting outside and enjoying God’s beautiful creation.
